Come to worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth.

Whether you are a mature believer or exploring faith for the first time, we extend a warm invitation to join us at Providence Church as we seek to glorify God and enjoy His presence together. You’ll be greeted by people who are interested in you and find not just a place to attend, but a fellowship to belong, learn, and worship alongside.

Worship centered on God and structured according to His Word.

Many churches reduce worship into an hour of entertainment and self help. Few discern the rotten core of humanism through the thin veneer of Christianity. Here at Providence Church, it is the Word we preach, sins we confess, truth we proclaim, and the Lord Jesus Christ we worship.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I
expect at worship?

Every Sunday, we begin the service by preparing our hearts for worship. We hear the Word of God read and preached. We respond in praise and worship to God for His goodness to us. And, finally, we prepare to go out into the world to praise and glorify God in all that we do through the coming week.

What is
the music like?

Christ-centered and theologically-rich music is important to us at Providence. Our worship style may be considered “blended” as we sing a mixture of hymns, psalms, and Scripture based choruses. Members of the church lead congregational singing with their voices and instruments.

Are you affliated
with a denomination?

Providence Church is an independent church. As such it has no denominational affiliation. Our doctrine is Reformed, holding to The Second London Baptist Confession of 1689. While we identify most closely with churches from that tradition, we will commune with any person who holds to evangelical doctrine and orthodox Christianity.

Can I take
Communion?

We invite anyone who has been baptized and made a public profession of faith in Christ, who hold to the basics of the Apostle’s Creed, and who aren’t living in flagrant, unrepentant sin to participate in the Lord’s Supper.

Do you
provide child care?

Since we are a family-integrated church, we welcome children to remain in the service as much as possible.  However, if needed, parents may utilize the space designated as a calming room.

Is there
an offering?

If you would like to give an offering to the Lord and help support the work and worship of Providence, you may do so by placing your gift in the box on the communion table.

Is there
any formality?

Providence Church does not have any formality requirements. Some choose to dress up; others are relaxed. Dress how you are most comfortable and with respect for the Lord and others.

How long
is the service?

The service with preaching, Scripture readings, congregational songs, prayers, and communion lasts about an hour and a half. On occasion, we have a Fellowship Meal after the service, and you are welcome to stay!

How can I
become a member?

If you are interested in membership, our pastor and elders are here to guide you through the process. Please reach out through our Contact page to ask any questions.

We worship
as families

Another special trait of our worship is that it is “family-integrated.”  We believe that children ought to join their parents in the worship of God and make every attempt to sit under the ministry of the word.  We find joy in hearing the sound of little voices joining in song and even when the occasional fit is thrown or when a child talks a little too loud. However, “life happens” and there may be times when a child needs to be taken out to calm down. Feel free to sit or stand in the lobby with your children as needed, but we also have a calming room off of the lobby if you need privacy for nursing, changing, or for an exceptionally upset child.

We worship with
the Lord’s Supper

Since Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper as a means of strengthening our faith, Providence Church celebrates the Lord’s Supper on a weekly basis. We invite anyone who has been baptized and made a public profession of faith in Christ, who hold to the basics of the Apostle’s Creed, and who aren’t living in flagrant, unrepentant sin to participate in the Lord’s Supper. We provide wheat bread and gluten-free bread for allergen needs and wine and grape juice based on your conscience. It is our custom to have the head of household (or representative thereof) to come forward and receive the elements and take them back to serve the rest of his (or her) family.

Attend worship at Providence every Sunday at 10:30 AM!
